Thanks for the comments, The diamond ring was an award that National Carriers used to give their Owner/Operators for running so many miles in a year.

Back then there were not as many Federal laws for Truck Drivers as there is now .... Could a Driver now a days drive as many miles to earn a Ring as they did back then ? .... Have the new laws about...

Back when the speed limit was 55mph, You could get away with a lot, Nowadays, The onboard recorder tells everything you do. The new hours of service rules don`t affect me, I used to work 8hrs 20min...
